This story, originally published in the “Page Six” section of the New York Post, has been retracted by the newspaper. Here is their statement:
October 21, 2008 —
THE source who told us last week about Michelle Obama getting lobster and caviar delivered to her room at the Waldorf-Astoria must have been under the influence of a mind-altering drug. She was not even staying at the Waldorf. We regret the mistake, and our former source is going to regret it, too. Bread and water would be too good for such disinformation.
I regret passing along false information to my readers. Given the truths of Barack Obama’s associations with ACORN, Bill Ayers, the Rev. Jeremiah Wright, I would suggest that we focus our attention there.

Have you studied for even a moment the receipt you’ve posted? Did you not notice that the purported signatures are identical in every way — to the point where you can lay one on top of the other, with perfect alignment? In other words, that the “signatures” are photoshopped? If you did notice this, why did you post this hoax anyway? And if you didn’t notice it, what explanation do you have for not using your own two eyes to see such an obvious hoax for what it is?

Seriously, this has been completely debunked everywhere at this point. Time for a correction.

The incredulousness of the left that such a story could ever be run is laughable.
Dan Rather and Mary Mapes (and half of their loyal viewers) still insist those documents were legit.
Soialism doesn’t work.
