Following the release of a video showing New Hampshire Democratic power broker Ray Buckley using profanities and appearing on a gay web site, Congressman Paul Hodes released a statement saying that he could not support Buckley for the state’s Democratic chair.

A Joe Lieberman supporter during the previous New Hampshire primary, Buckley was considered the front-runner to replace party chairperson, Kathy Sullivan, who was stepping down from her post. Allegations by a Manchester Republican that Buckley possessed child pornography forced Buckley to withdraw from consideration. He was eventually cleared of the kiddy porn charges following an investigation by New Hampshire’s Attorney General.

The following is the statement from Congressman Hodes.
