Several bloggers have already made the mistake of handicapping the presidential election based on fund-raising by the candidates. No, I am not foolish enough to say it is a non-issue. But, if anything, this last mid-term election proves to those of us in New Hampshire that it is the message — not cash — that determines the outcome.
If you haven’t been paying attention, Hillary’s message is ringing bells with the Democratic rank and file — especially up here. Obama is getting his 15 minutes now, but assuming Hillary is running, New Hampshire is hers to lose no matter how much cash the other candidates throw at her. She hangs left to win here, there goes centrist for the general election – just what George W did in 2000 from the other side of the political divide.
