Some of us remember the debacle of ‘72 when we nominated George McGovern for president. I was one of those people. We were pissed enough about the war and hated Richard Nixon enough that we thought our self-righteousness was enough to win an election.
We learned the hard way.
Now the Democratic Party once again is headed down the road of platitudes and self-rightousness.
Many of us here have been fortunate enough to see in Hillary Clinton a candidate who combined our highest aspirations and ideals, and our desperate need for a leader who can get things done — and win elections! I am proud of my vote for Hillary and I want the world to know that no matter what happens, she will always have my support.
A new generation of voters will have to learn the hard way.

Rake, my thinking about Hillary is slowly changing for the positive. She is her own person, not Bill’s doxie like I guess I originally thought.
I hope she will be able to somehow financially be able to hold out until June. I think Obama realizes she is valuable, but I worry about the emphasis she still places on race. That is very troublesome.
Edwards endorsement sort of seals it for me, and now the Steelworkers union backing.
