Now that Ray Buckley has been cleared of child porn accusations by the state’s Attorney General, there is increasing speculation that he will conduct a write-in campaign to become New Hampshire’s Democratic Party Chairman, replacing outgoing chair, Kathy Sullivan.

Today’s Union Leader is reporting that a former state legislator is planning to amend the party’s constitution to allow the write-in campaign.

As noted in our previous post on this topic, Buckley’s resurgence has wide implications for New Hampshire’s Democratic primary and the various candidates seeking local party endorsements.  Buckley was an active supporter of Joe Lieberman’s 2004 campaign; some in the party are guessing he will throw his support this time to Hillary Clinton
